In this class, you’ll learn to make two of our favorite Jewish items.
First, a loaf rooted in tradition and laden with symbolism, dating back to the 15th century: challah. We’ll teach you to bake your own rich loaf from scratch, and you’ll create a traditional six-stranded braid, its strands representing arms intertwined in love.
Then, we’ll bake one of the Bakehouse’s best-selling Jewish baked goods: rugelach. These royally good cookies are made with a crispy, flaky, cream cheese pastry, sprinkled in cinnamon sugar, and rolled around a sweet filling.
