Join us to make two of our Bakehouse's best: Coconut Cream pie and Key Lime pie. Yes, the latter one is baked, so it's not really a “cream” pie, but it’s definitely creamy and delicious.
We'll teach you how to make from scratch a buttery and flaky pie crust (no shortening allowed!), how to roll and blind bake the crust, and make the coconut filling. For the key lime pie, we'll show you how to make a buttery graham cracker crust, and the rich, tart filling from scratch. We'll end with making fresh whipped cream to top the pies.
You'll leave the BAKE! class with our recipes, the knowledge to recreate them at home, and the two pies you made in class.
We'll end the in-person class with a pie tasting and you'll go home with some great coupons.
*Please note, for the virtual class, it will be helpful to have on hand a stand mixer with a whisk attachment or a hand-held mixer to make the whipped cream for the two pies.

My Weigh Kitchen Scale
A scale is the perfect way to take the guesswork out of your measuring, but not all scales are created equal. The My Weigh KD-8000 is one of our favorites, and it's the same version of the scale our instructors use during BAKE! Classes. We like it because it weighs accurately down to 1 gram/0.05 oz, which means even small measurements will be precise. It also has a Baker's Math function that lets you calculate percentages of other ingredients in a recipe based on the total weight of your flour—a great way to figure out your dough's hydration, or to scale a recipe up or down!
